About a month ago, the Central Bureau of Statistics revealed particularly worrying data: 37% of Israel’s population suffers from stress and anxiety, and the mental state of 30% of Israelis aged 21 and over has worsened in recent months (by comparison, 26% were in July).
The corona period has, of course, contributed to an increase in the number of cases, but we are only beginning to understand its effect today, and we will probably learn new things about its effect in the future as well.
We are all exposed to the word ‘anxiety’ many times – in corridor conversations or in the coffee corner at work, on the radio or on TV, in personal conversations with friends and family. We all nod in sadness when we hear that a friend or family member is suffering from it, and we all hope that we will not suffer from it ourselves, but in practice many of us suffer from anxiety but do not know how to recognize it.
Do we really know what anxiety is?
Do we know how to identify its effects and ways to deal with it?
First and foremost, anxiety is manifested as a feeling of helplessness in dealing with a particular situation, real or imagined.
The symptoms of an anxiety attack are varied, and can include, but are not limited to:
In other words, if you experience great stress that affects the day-to-day conduct, if the pulse rises and rises and the head does not stop working for a moment, and it feels like there is no way out – it is very possible that it is an anxiety attack. Most of us tend to dismiss and dismiss these feelings in sentences like “it’s just a momentary stress, it’s going to pass,” “I just need to lie down for a bit, I’ll be fine,” which in practice does not really contribute to a healthy and correct coping with the anxiety attack.
Today, after several years in which anxiety has become from an unknown phenomenon to an increasingly common phenomenon, the tools and abilities to deal with it have also evolved. Over time, anxiety treatments have proven to be effective and life-saving – simply because many anxiety sufferers have failed to maintain a normal daily routine and have actually “stuck” in place without being able to promote themselves.
Coping begins with recognition and knowing
The first stage begins with recognizing the anxiety and acknowledging that it exists – ignoring and suppressing the problem will only exacerbate the symptoms and coping will become more difficult. Today, as the recognition of the existence of anxiety has become a kind of social norm, many sufferers overcome the fear of dealing with it, and turn to finding solutions to treat the problem.
Dr. Ora Golan offers a variety of treatment methods at 3 Ora Golan centers operating in Israel (Tel Aviv, Kibbutz Nachsholim in the north and on the Internet).
These centers effectively treat anxiety using a unique technique that locates the same emotional barrier that impairs the patient’s quality of life, releases it, and gives the patient a new and free life from past adversities. This technique does not constitute psychological treatment or medical treatment, but with its results and effectiveness it is impossible to argue
Over 3,000 women, men and children come for treatment at the Ora Golan centers each year (82,000 in total, and the count is still ongoing), and the success rate of the treatment stands at 87.4%, according to a recent international study.
Dr. Ora Golan holds a doctorate in chiropractic with a specialization in the emotional field, coping with anxiety and functional chiropractic. Dr. Golan operates out of a belief in the principle of Innate Intelligence – the body’s self-ability to support and heal itself.
This topic fascinated Dr. Golan for many years, during which she studied and experienced in the field, until she established the Ora Golan Center in 1997, which helps many people, from Israel and around the world, deal with emotional barriers and improve their quality of life.
